Initial horizontal velocity Vh = 2.0 m/sinitial vertical velocity Vv = 0
Let time taken to hit the ground = t sec
s = ut + (1/2)gt²
17 = Vv t + (1/2)(9.8)t²
17 = 0 + 4.9t²
t² = 17/4.9
t = 1.86 sec
horizontal distance travelled = horizontal velocity x time = 2.0 x 1.86 = 3.72 m
