That depends on what you're measuring. Different substances have different densities.

The medicine bottle will say how many mg per ml. That is the med's concentration. It's different with everything.

It depends on the medication... mg and ml are two very different measurements. For instance, my son's medication has 20mg of the medication per 5 ml; therefore if you were measure this medication in that syringe it would be 4 mg of medication. However, if you are measuring out the children's allergy medication we have which is 5 mg of drug per 5 ml than you'd be measuring 1 mg of medication. You have to figure out how many mg of drug are in 10 ml by looking at the drug and figuring out how many mg/ml. In the two examples I gave you, one would be 40 mg of drug and the other just 10 mg.
