if a mother washes her son s private parts at age 6 is that considered sexual abuse?
the mother has narcissistic personality disorder and is very controlling. This child said she washes his privates, he had recently turned six. I do not know if she is attracted to children or it sexual gratification was involved or not. it probably had more to do with power and control issues but I don t really know. It is sexual abuse because it involves it private and inappropriate for his age.

The mother has been doing that for the child's entire life, she's just washing it, not anything else. 6 years old is pretty young still.
It is a parent's job to keep their child clean. Washing a 6 year does NOT mean anything sexual is going on, on the mother's part.
How ridiculous. It is well known that youngsters don't wash themselves properly.
What a SICK mind you have.
If the child does not yet know how to wash himself properly, then it is fine. Sexual abuse means that something sexual is going on, when inappropriate. A mother can wash her son.
If hes six years old, shouldn't he be able to take a bath by himself?
I seriously doubt she is attracted to that. She is his mother; she might just be a hygiene freak. I can't remember if I left my boys alone in the bathtub at that age. I certainly didn't wash their privates--probably washed their hair, though. You might be overreacting. The child is only six, and six-year-olds don't do a great job of washing themselves.
