Why doesn't Ebay except my debit card? When I try to purchase things using my debit card on Ebay it says invalid and doesn't read it. I have tried it multiple times putting spaces in the middle of the 4 numbers, Putting dashes in the middle of the 4 numbers, and putting nothing in the 4 numbers. I'm sure i am in the debit and credit card area and not the paypal. I am also sure I fill out all the fields. I'm just another man trying to get some deals on Ebay so please help me and answer if you know what is wrong. Thank You : )

Because it's a debit card and eBay is a website.
Debit cards are meant to be used in person, at a store building or at an ATM. They do not always work online.
If you need a card that is reliable online, then you need a real credit card.

You can only purchase with a debit card if the seller takes cards directly. Otherwise you have to use Paypal or other electronic payment processor and connect it to your debit card. You cant use them directly to pay for things unless seller accepts them directly.

Does your debit card have the Visa, Master Card, or Discover logo on it? Or is it one just issued by your bank? It needs to be the former to work. At least that is the first thing that comes to mind.
