What telescope should I buy?

I've been looking on Craigslist for a telescope, but I don't know anything about telescopes. Are there any things i should look out for when buying a telescope. What brands are good. And what could i get for 40-80 bucks, used?

$50-80 dollars would be a toy.

Whichever one gives you a better view up that girls skirt, my boy. Make sure it's one that can be operated with only one hand.
