IS MY DOG IN DANGER?

My dad bought some mouse/rat-killer-food things, i'm not sure they're like greenish colored, weirdly shaped blocks, and put them around the house. The thing is two of them disappeared and they were in places where my dog could have reached if he stretched his paw out for them, and i just found one of the blocks by the coffee table with part of the corner bitten off, and I'm so worried right now. My dog's been acting much more 'quiet', much less hyper and I don't know if it's the summer hot weather because he's tending to seem more...depressed?

If he ate the mouse/rat thing, what are the dangers? What can happen to him? Should we bring him to the vet???? How worried should we be??

Ohmigods... It turns out the type was a very new kind... doesn't do internal bleeding but brain damage. BUUUT BUT BUT BUT BUT! My dog is indeed a picky eater... he either sniffed it and didn't eat any (despite the vet saying its like "candy" to a dog)... or he ate such a little amount it didn't do anything... because thank God, he's fine after a week and a half (or 2 weeks. I forget.)

If your dog ate any of this rat poison - it is an emergency!

The dog WILL bleed out over the next few days, it's a terrible and painful way to die.
He needs to go the vets office ASAP and start (usually Vitamin K) treatments to stop the internal bleeding.

Treatment depends on what type of rodenticide the dog has consumed. Make sure you let the vet know exactly what brand of rat/mouse poison the dog was exposed to.

Get on the phone right now, let them know you are bringing your dog in, so they'll be ready for you when you arrive.

That stuff can kill a dog fast. It makes animals bleed out from inside. It should NEVER be used in a house with pets or with young children that may put it in their mouths.

sure your dog can die from eating those.
Any traps you buy should be in places where a pet could not get to them like under the frig in the back, in the top cupboards in the back, in the water closet up on the shelf in the back, under furniture (maybe taped there so the dog can't get to it), behind heavy boxes, etc.
