What's the best way to clean your ears?

My ears have felt itchy and I am thinking there is wax built up. What is the best way to flush them out or clean them out? I read white vinegar and warm water and let it sit in there? Is that right? Anyone direct me or advice please!

Lay on your side, with a cotton ball dripping with peroxide, place a few drops into your ear canal. You will hear it bubbling, feel it foaming, but it only tickles a bit. No pain. After about 20 minutes, sit up, drain it out, by letting it drip out. Repeat with other ear. If the wax buildup is not too bad, it will soften and usually fall out. You may not even notice it doing so. It may not be right away but it will take care of the itching. You can dry out with Q tips. Don't shove it in too far, you can damage your ear drum or impact the wax if it is really chunky. Chances are, it is just some oily build up. Peroxide works wonders. Use only about twice a year.

Vinegar will destroy the germs by making it acidic. Just put some in on a continuing basis for a few days. One dose can often cure you. The itching will stop immediately. Wax buildup can be a problem. A doctor can perform lavage ( ear cleaning). Clean only the outer ear, not the canal. The skin cells migrate from the drum all the way out onto the ear and into the back. This is why your ears get waxy. This is part of how the ear cleans itself, along with erect hairs. So the thought is, if you put your fingers in you can push wax back in.

This is something that only a doctor should do because you may cause serious damage to your ears/hearing.Do NOT put anything in your ears.

Go to a drug store and Debrox. It will soften any wax in your ears and then you use a rubber bulb ear syringe to help remove the wax. Recommended by ENT doctors,
You can use the ear syringe with warm water

In my opinion, the cleaning of ears should be done by an Aurist otherwise very easily to get infection. As we all know that the wax of ear will come off naturally from internal to external.

A safe way is to put a few drops of olive oil or other vegetable oil at room temperature in your ear using a small teaspoon. Tip your head to one side and let the oil run into your ear. Then put a piece of cotton wool on the outside of your ear for a few minutes to absorb surplus oil. Do the same for the other ear. Do this twice a day for a week, and it should work.

Go to your local doctor. They use a warm water instrument that will clean and flush your ears. Usually a day or two before the appointment, go to the phamacy and purchase the product that softens the wax (it is similar to an vegetable oil but made specially for ear wax buildup.)

Some of these are close, but to be safe and painless...use a Q-tip dipped in a few drops of Hydrogen Peroxide. It will clean and soothe immediately.

I use a Q-tip - first dry and then with rubbing alcohol. Works for me. I tried one of those battery powered Seen On TV gadgets a while back that are supposed to suck out the wax. They do not work. It was a piece of junk. I returned it. I tried it on my dog too. Pure junk. A Q-tip works fine and the alcohol disinfects.

The best time to clean your ears is when your ears are hot. Let me explain: after talking on the phone for an extended period of time or when you first wake up in the morning after your head has been on a pillow for hours. The heat trapped in your hear makes for soft ear wax and easier removal.

Place two drops of baby oil in your ear. Wait a few minutes and then rinse your ear out with warm water. Although I was taught never to put anything in your ear smaller than your elbow, I use a Q-tip which I run around the hole in my ear..........not to shove the Q-tip in there to push the wax further in the ear, mind you.

If you use cotton swabs they actually push the wax further down the ear canal, Doctors recommend using a coupe of drop of olive oil in the ear - lie on your side for 10 minutes to let it sink down - the wipe off the excess. Repeat this every day for a week, this should shift the wax or loosen it enough to flush it out.

Blast the wax out with a waterpik.

I've read that about the vinegar too.. give it a try. There are some OTC things you can buy also.

A small amount of hydrogen peroxide, use an eye dropper to get it in your ear, or a medicine dropper works as well, then rinse it out. You can also use a q-tip, just don't stick it in too far.

Just use the cotton ear bud things

This is defintely not recommended by professionals, but I always just use cotton swabs (Q-tips). It takes care of the itch and gets the wax out of there. What you just have to be careful of is to not stick them in too far, or it may cause your ears to bleed, which will then cause an ear infection - I know because this has happened to me once.

So, yeah, just use cotton swabs, but use them very carefully. You can pick them up at just about any pharmacy or supermarket.
