Where did Harrison originate from?

My ancestors were all Jewish and when they moved to Scotland they changed there surname to Harrison. I was wondering what are some possible surnames it could have been.

It's absolutely impossible to guess, and utterly futile for you to try. There is no necessary reason to suppose the original name was anything that looked or sounded like 'Harrison' or had any logical connection with that name. If you want to know, you'll just have to do the research to find out.

No idea, the only way you will know is by researching the records they generated during their lifetime

The Temple Records in Scotland may clarify you question. Harrison means son of Harris and is not considered a traditional Jewish name.

I had the same problem. I posted a query on a Rootsweb message born, giving all the info I had and asking if anyone knew the family. Almost two years later a distant cousin contacted me. her Grandmother. (my late Grandmother's cousin) was still alive and eager to help. I suggest you post queries on the Jewish Genealogy sites such as http://www.jewishgen.org/ as well. Good Luck. Incidentally, my ancestors did not chose a name, they were given one vaguely similar to their own but easier for a British person to say and spell.

They changed their name to Harrison.

This means they picked a name, quite likely at random, which they thought sounded good and Scottish.

There is no way to know what it is before, without finding the record of that name change. It could have been Horowitz or Pimplebotham.

Find out which synagogue they attended and ask a rabbi.

The original name of American actor Jonathan Harris ('A Bug's Life') was Jonathan Charasuchin. He changed his name to Harris because it sounded like Charasuchin. Do you have Russian Jewish ancestors like he did? Perhaps your family name was similar to Charasuchin.
