I m going down to Indiana today and I was thinking about using my hotspot in the car so I can use my laptop. I ve used my hotspot before but never to watch videos or anything like that. I was just wondering if using my hotspot to watch videos on my laptop would use a lot of data.
BTW we are on a shared cellular data program. So all together we have a limit of using 6GB between 4 of us
If I use my hotspot on my iPhone to watch a video or movie on my laptop, will it use a lot of my data?

Yes it will. Not only that but depending on your plan you'll have to pay roaming fees. If you must use Internet, do it off your phone. Even then it'll still cost money. The best thing to do is to call your isp and ask about it.
