A sample of CO2 gas has a pressure of 33.4 mm Hg in a 125-mL flask. The sample is transferred to a new flask, where it has a pressure of 79.9 mm Hg at the same temperature. What is the volume of the new flask?

CO₂ in flask A : P₁ = 33.4 mm Hg, V₁ = 125 mL
Move CO₂ to flask B : P₂ = 79.9 mmHg, V₂ = ? mL

For a fixed amount of gas at constant temperature :
P₁V₁ = P₂V₂
V₂ = V₁ × (P₁/P₂)

Volume of flask B = (125 mL) × (33.4/79.9) = 52.3 mL
