For the functions f(x)=5x^3 and g(x)=4x^2, prove that the derivative of the sum of the functions is equal to the sum of the derivative of each function: [f(x)+g(x)]′=f′(x)+g′(x)

f(x) = 5x³ and g(x)=4x²

[f(x) + g(x)]'
= [5x³ + 4x²]'
= 15x² + 8x

f'(x) + g'(x)
= (5x³) + (4x²)
= 15x² + 8x

Hence, [f(x) + g(x)]' = f'(x) + g'(x)
