The final product is aqueous sodium chloride solution.

Sodium oxide solid reacts with water to give aqueous sodium hydroxide solution.
Na₂O(s) + H₂O(l) → 2NaOH(aq)

Both sodium oxide solid and aqueous sodium hydroxide solution react with hydrochloric acid to give aqueous sodium chloride solution.
Na₂O(s) + 2HCl(aq) → 2NaCl(aq) + H₂O(l)
NaOH(aq) + HCl(aq) → NaCl(aq) + H₂O(l)
