Rotating bookcases sound very James Bond. How about pointy sharp cactus type plants near windows to make climbing thru them ouchy.

Depends on what you want:
a) Get them to leave immediately (preferably without taking things)
b) Immobilize them until police arrives
c) Immobilize them until undertaker arrives
d) Prevent any theft by burning down the house
e) Rob them and dump them in the river
Possible solutions:
a) Install things that make really loud noises so that neighbors call police AND go check what the heck is happening.
b) Install a trap that fills the house with filling foam glue. Results might be messy.
c) Use more foam.
d) Use gasoline or propane instead of foam glue.
e) Use your own imagination for this one.

Alarm system ,there's invisible laser system that you can instal all around your property and is like net that in each point disconnect alarm will go immediately on .Only has one problem that if a bird or rabbit or any other object pass trough it alarm will go on.

Booby traps tend to catch the unintended victims. Slippery floors, marbles, and such will cause more problems than they're worth, and if you only injure even a robber, they can sue and win. Get a firearm, learn how to use it, and if you have to use it, make sure they're dead.

as we said before most places are robbed by some one who knows you or knows the layout of the house. Expensive items go quickly at pawn shops. If you have sliding glass doors use a cut off broom handle at the bottom. Mines painted silver so it blends into the tracks... All windows anyone can climb into should be locked and wooden dowels placed in sides to keep them from being moved up.....now outsize. Plant thorny bushes up against windows and prevent them from even trying to climb in. Beware of dog signs don't work if they know you don't have a dog. Better to talk dog shop with friends as in I am getting a dog soon. Carry photos of a breed you like. Say he or shes been trained I can't wit to get her home.
