What is the mass of 1.00 liter of nitrogen at STP?
回答 (10)
Molar volume of N₂ at STP = 22.4 L/mol
No. of moles of N₂ = (1.00 L) / (22.4 L/mol) = 1.00/22.4 mol
Molar mass of N₂ = 14.01 × 2 g/mol = 28.02 g/mol
Mass of N₂ = (28.02 g/mol) × (1.00 / 22.4 mol) = 1.25 g
.1.00L... .... ...1 mol...... ... ...28.02g
--- ---- x --- ---- ---- --- --- x ---- ----- --- = 1.25g N2
.. .1. ... .. 22.41L @STP... ... 1 mol
1 liter / 22.4 litre times 14 (atomic mass of nitrogen)
I don't have a calculator on me but this is how to get the answer
Molar volume of N₂ at STP = 22.4 L/mol. No. of moles of N₂ = (1.00 L) / (22.4 L/mol) = 1.00/22.4 mol. Molar mass of N₂ = 14.01 × 2 g/mol
probraly less than water.
The 1 liter volume of N2 gas at STP will possess 1 molar mass of N2 which is 28 gram mol of N2 gas
