HCl + NaOH → NaCl + H₂O
OR: Mole ratio HCl : NaOH = 1 : 1

No. of milli-moles of NaOH = (0.1 mmol/mL) × (25.0 mL) = 2.5 mmol
No. of milli-moles of HCl = 2.5 mmol
Molar concentration of HCl = (2.5 mmol) / (25.0 mL) = 0.1 M

Since one mole of NaOH gives one mole of OH- ions on dissociation, and 1 mole HCl also gives 1 mole H+ ions on dissociation , thus neutralization is only possible when number of moles of OH- ions is equal to number of moles of H+ ions. This means that molarity of HCl needs to be equal to molarity of NaOH.
