Ethanal and fehling's solution equation + What happens?
回答 (2)
Fehling's solution is a mild reducing agent containing alkaline copper(II) solution, while ethanal is an mild oxidizing agent.
When ethanal reacts with Fehling's solution, ethanal is oxidized to ethanoate ions, while copper(II) ions in Fehling's solution are reduced to copper(I) oxide which is an orange brown precipitate.
