Let a be the x-intercept.
Then, y-intercept = a

The equation of the line in intercept form :
(x/a) + (y/a) = 1
x + y = a

The line passes through (-7, 4).
Put x = -7 and y = 4 into the equation of the line :
-7 + 4 = a
a = -3

Then, the equation of the line is :
x + y = -3
x + y + 3 = 0

line through (-7,4) intersects both axes.
It is in Q2.
So the intercepts are (-k,0) and (0,k).

Slope = 1
Y intercept = k
y = x + k

Substitute (-7,4) in the equation.
4 = -7 + k
k = 11

y = x + 11

x = 0, y = 11 (0,11)
y = 0, x = -11 (-11,0)
4 = -7 + 11
so (-7,4) satisfies y = x + 11

WTF is that supposed to mean?
