what if I dont have an itinerary? I do, but its my own little plans, with bookings where I pay at the counter, not reserve. What do I do?

No one cares a bout your itinerary. They care about your boarding pass for a flight out of the airport you are in.

No, you don't but it's useful to print it for yourself especially if it has your confirmation numbers on it.

If you check in at the kiosk, you can search by your name. You don't have to use a confirmation number. If you do not feel comfortable using a kiosk, you can go to a ticket agent and tell them your name and where you are going. They can search that way as well.

No.
You walk up to the kiosk, stick in a credit card or enter the data it asks for, and it pulls up your reservation. If you walk up to an agent, you just show them your ID and they pull up your reservation in the computer.
