Should I go to the movies with my friends OR my boyfriend and his friends?

Me and this boy have been dating for a lil while now, about 3 weeks. I really like him. Let's call him Jim. Jim is eighteen, and graduates next week. I, on the other hand, am sixteen. Jim is enlisted in the army or whatever, and leaves for basic training next month. I sort of want to spend as much time with him as I can. The only downside about going to the movies tonight with him is that his friends will be there... his older friends that I have never met. I'm socially awkward, I know this will be hard.
On the other hand, my 2 best friends are also going to the movies tonight to see the same thing. We cannot, however, go to the same theater because they live 35 minutes away. The initial plan for me was to go spend the weekend with them, because they've been saying how it feels like I'm ditching them for Jim. I love them to death & I hate that they feel like that because it isn't true... I also haven't seen Jim since he's asked me to be his girl, so about 3 weeks, but it has been about 5 or 6 weeks since I've seen my girls. What should I do? Who do I go with? And how do I break the news to whoever I'm not going with?
