I was dating someone for three months we broke up as his job has left him no free time n when he is free he has kids. When we broke up he said he likes n really cares about me n is glad we can be friends. We broke up in March n have stayed in contact since, since May he is starting to ring me more he keeps asking if I am dating anyone too. Do you think he is interested still I'm hoping we will date again

He is interested on some level, or he wouldn't communicate with you. However what's his deal about "are you dating anyone?".... that is weird. And really, it's none of his concern.
I don't know the guy, so i can't tell you how to proceed... but you'd think a gentleman would ask you out on a proper date and stop the texting game or whatever he's doing?

If he is asking about your dating situation and ringing you more often, well, yeah, he wants to see you. It will be on his terms according to his limited time, so if that was a deal killer last time, I don't see much future in it. But if you have decided that you would rather have a bit of him than none, well, have fun.
