Help!!! Stupid question but is 7 to the power of 4 divided by 7= 1 to the power of 3 or 7 to the power of 3????

　
Why would it be 1^3 = 1 ?
The only way a division = 1 is if numerator = denominator.
Is 7^4 really the same as 7?

(7^4)/7 = (7^4)/(7^1) = 7^(4−1) = 7^3

Remember:
x^a * x^b = x^(a+b)
x^a / x^b = x^(a−b)
(x^a)^b = x^(a*b)
(xy)^a = x^a * y^a
(x/y)^a = x^a / y^a

7^4 / 7 =

7^4 / 7^1 =

7^(4 - 1) =

7^3

------ = 7^3
7

7*7*7*7=2407 divided by 7=343

7 to the power of 3 :)
