alibaba is really a business-to-business site.
It's mainly for businesses that want massive amounts of an item or material for manufacturing or resale.
Some places may sell one-off "sample" items, but it's down to each individual seller.
To buy single or small-quantity items, look on aliexpress instead; that's for normal buyers.
