How do you solve this maths problem?
There are 28 children altogether in a class. If there are 2 more boys than girls how many boys and girls are there. Is there another way of solving this without using trail and error
回答 (7)
let the number of girls be x.
no. of boys = x+2
x + (x+2) = 28
2x = 26
x= 13
x+2 = 15
therefore no. of girls is 13 and no. of boys is 15.
"There are 28 children altogether in a class."
b+g = 28
"there are 2 more boys than girls"
b = g+2
substitution
(g+2) + g = 28
g = 13
b = g+2 = 15
b + g = 28
b = g + 2
(g + 2) + g = 28
2g + 2 = 28
g + 1 = 14
g = 13
15 boys, 13 girls
B=G+2
B+G=28
G+2+G=28
2G=26
G=13
13 Girls 15 Boys
sadly, obama has destroyed the education system, and thus, math in schools have been horrific. also, english in schools has been horrific, since you said "maths" instead of math, so your spelling and grammar sucks. it is not your fault, it is obama and the evil obama administrations fault
vote for trump in november and he will make america great again and help you with your math problem and make you better at math and english and make you smart again
