The area of a pool under a leaking water pipe is given by A = 2t + t^2/8 cm^2 where t is the time in minutes. Fine the area and the rate it is growing after 10 minhtes.

Case I : A = 2t + (t²/8) cm²dA/dt = 2 + (t/4)
After 10 minutes :
Area = 2(10) + (10²/8) cm² = 32.5 cm²
Rate of growing = 2 + (10/4) cm²/min = 4.5 cm²/min

Case II : A = (2t + t²)/8 cm²
dA/dt = (2 + 2t)/8
After 10 minutes :
Area = (2 *10 + 10²)/8 cm² = 15 cm²
Rate of growing = (2 + 2*10)/8 cm²/min = 2.75 cm²/min
