What do I bring to the bank to add in checks and cash out if I'm 17 with no parents?

I'm moving back home with my aunt next month while my parents stay in this state. I'll be working so when I go to add my check into my bank account and when I want to cash some out, what do I need? My drivers license? I know this is a silly question but I'm just making sure since last year I stayed with my aunt, they wouldn't let me add in my check to my own bank account without my parents there.

You need an ATM debit card and/or checks. If your employer has direct deposit you will need to give your employer your bank's routing # and your checking account #. If you have a driver's license then obviously you have ID.

Is it your own account or do you have an account with one of your parents? I see no reason why any bank wouldn't allow you to deposit money into your account and, with ID, I do not understand why you can't withdraw it - if, in fact, you are a co-owner of the account. Certainly your aunt has more than one bank in her town. Sometimes banks want you to have accounts with them before they will allow you to use their services without a fee.

The driver's license is sufficient ID once the account is open. You will need your social security card to open the account. They will allow anyone to make a deposit without even requesting ID. MOST employers actually PREFER direct deposits to physical checks.
