Why do my drawings look average to me but good to other people?

I have been drawing for about 15 years and have become the artist in my family. I just feel my drawings just seem bland. Is it like how a singer thinks their own voice sounds weird to them but good to others.

Because an artist is his own worst critic. Part of art training is looking for ways to improve your art so that means looking for little flaws and ways to correct these flaws. Other people don't see the flaws because they couldn't draw like you even if they tried.

Instead of looking for the negatives all the time look at what turned out the way you wanted and the things that look good. Focus on what you did right for a change and not only on what needs improving. When you see the positives in your work you will realize that you are a pretty good artist with the right to be proud of your works.
