How do you know life is real?

How do you know life is real?

~~~ The same way that we Know that an apple is an apple!
There is a great 'biological definition' of 'apple', and anything that fits that definition can safely be considered an apple. Especially if nothing else fits that definition!

Reality is That Which Exists!
ALL inclusive!
That is the definition, 'Reality' is based on what exists!
Everything exists!
'Thoughts' exist, thus the content of thoughts exist, thus unicorns exist (imagination = thought)!
Thus everything exists!
Thus everything is 'Real', a feature of the all inclusive, unchanging Universal Existence/Reality!
Further, as everything exists, is ALL inclusive, and so dies Reality (based upon existence), then TRUTH is also ALL inclusive!

Existence = the complete Universe = Nature = Reality = Consciousness = Truth = Love = 'Self!' = God = Brahman = Tao = ... etc....
ALL INCLUSIVE!!
'One'!

Now, since you use the word 'Know' in such a meaningful fashion, it's time you know what 'Know' means;

The new, critically updated, all inclusive, Universal definition of 'Knowledge';

"'Knowledge' is 'that which is perceived', Here! Now!!"

All inclusive!

That which is perceived by the unique individual Perspective is 'knowledge'.
All we can 'know' is what we perceive, Now! and Now! and Now!!!

'Ignorance' is that which is NOT perceived, at any particular moment, by any particular unique Perspective! Here! Now!

That! is how you know that everything that you "perceive", no matter what or when, are features of Reality, eyes open or eyes closed!!
Because it is perceived, it exists!

Everything Exists!
Everything is Real!
Everything is Truth!
Existence/Reality/Truth is all inclusive!
'One'!
That which is perceived exists!
That which exists is perceived!
Not a thing exists that is not perceived!
Not a thing is perceived that does not exist!
(There is no, nor can there be, any evidence to the contrary!)
All inclusive!!!

Everything is 'knowledge'!
All is Known!

All is real. All is mind. There is no place where mind isn't. Mind is the all giving life force that interprets it's self in the mind of the individual. Senses are nothing more than antenna's that causes action to happen in the living such as chemical reactions from emotions. Then you think, then you react to the thought. All is happening by mind. Feelings are mind. Ideas are mind. Insight is mind. By these mental things happening, you react. That is all real. Some will argue that this life isn't real. But I tell you, manifestations happen first in the mind. Then a plan, then the action, then the results of your action. That is real. Knowledge is key to understanding. Wisdom is knowledge in action to produce a specific result. That result is real. All is real in the mind of the All. My thinking alone produces both, good results and bad results. My knowing and acting on my knowing can produce the same result every time. A wise person doesn't act on thinking, it's not sufficient or always beneficial, they only go on what they know will produce the best results. Not just for self, but for all those they encounter. That's real. Even the false is real. Even the mistakes, real. Even the miscalculations, real. Eye Am Real. Eye Exist. All is frequencies interpreted by the senses. But they create an image in the mind, mind is all the realness you will ever know. All is in mind.

Eye Am Eternal

There is a life to everyone until death. Don't try to find nothingness in something. That may make your life zero. All human beings are ruled by spirits. A human being during his/her lifetime is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. These spirits determine your destiny from your daily activities, talks and thoughts too. If these three things become zero your life becomes zero. Remember! Your life's future depends on your positive thoughts.

Experimental philosophy - People who discuss life being real take more action than people who discuss life being not real.

If nothing is real this is surely not what we'd chose to perceive

alas we must be real because if 'we' are not in a reality bound by laws but an illusion bound not even by imagination - we would not perceive this pale limited shadow that we do - it would be way cooler and more dynamic what went on. We would not be a person, from a town, with only what we do to do - we'd be dreams spread across a cosmos changed by wind.

If you mean in the comparison between real life and dreams (which is basically a virtual life kind of thing) I would say your instincts would be able to tell whether or not. Unless you are a lucid dreamer i cannot explain that.

the pitiful state many of us find ourselves in lends to the fact that life is all too real at times,
frighteningly so yes life is real with all its twists turns and where to goes? we all obviously do not have high horses to ride upon life is all too present for some of us, those of us who are trying to dodge it at every turn know all too well how real life is

My senses tell me that it is real, but as Einstien once pondered is the a world beyond the senses, the intangible? We know, for example, where certain stimuli and chemicals are processed in the brain, but our imaging of the brain's activity doesn't tell us what the brain is doing, but rather that some input results in some output. I don't know what an unreal life even means. So I can't get my head around any other truth but that what is is what is. I cannot imagine water that isn't water because water is my model for water. Anything watery that I imagine is functionally wet.

By knowing what is knowing, what is life, and what is real. Not everyone does.
