Please don't starve yourself by eating once a day. eat 3 times a day, but if you don't want to each that much, just fill your stomach with right amount of food
No. For numerous reasons its better to eat small meals frequently. The magic number seems to be five. Three meals and two snacks. All the meals and snacks should add up to the amount of calories you need but not more than you need.

I did that at one time and it worked for me , being much older now I'm up to two meals a day. At the prescribed 3 meals I'd be over 200 pounds which just does not work for someone who is 5 ft 7.. Twice a day is probably the best bet next to just eating when you are hungry and just enough to fill you.
Well depends on the calories. Like if you have only one meal in the morning that has like 1200 calories, then your body won't be starved, but you will feel hungry through out the day.
