I can't stop eating pet popcorn??

So I was feeding my pet rat some popcorn I got from the pet shop (safe for animals) and I tested them, as I do with all his cool treats. Most of his treats are healthy for humans as well as rats, like banana chips and popcorn.

I have tried his Apple flavoured popcorn before and it tasted ok, but I wasn't too big a fan so I only ate one.
It's pet food after all.

I was just given the banana popcorn for free from the pet shop and I can't stop eating it! I was feeding my rat some and I tried one, then 4, then more than half the packet. I'm eating them as I type!

Are these ok for me to eat and should I buy a packet for myself?

While it's 'food', it's not produced in a plant that is 100% responsible for having passed the FDA testing for approval to feed to humans. This means the sanitation requirements are pretty low for pet food - the number of insect parts, exposure to dirt, anything not sterile in the manufacturing process is not = to what human grade foods require. I'd say stop eating the rat food 'treats' and stick with human stuff.
