40.86 mL of a solution of the acid H2SO4 is titrated, and 54.80 mL of 0.7600-M NaOH is required to reach the equivalence point. Calculate the original concentration of the acid solution.

H₂SO₄ + 2NaOH → Na₂SO₄ + 2H₂O
Mole ratio H₂SO₄ : NaOH = 1 : 2

No. of moles of NaOH = (0.7600 mol/L) × (54.80/1000 L) = 0.04165 mol
No. of moles of H₂SO₄ = (0.04165 mol) × (1/2) = 0.02083 mol
Concentration of H₂SO₄ = (0.02083 mol) / (40.86/1000 L) = 0.5096 M
