To solve such type of question :
Step 1 : Identify all the ions in the solutions that mixed.
Step 2 : Examine all pairs of cation and anion to identify the insoluble compound(s). The precipitate of such insoluble compound(s) is/are precipitated.

For example, the solutions of potassium iodide and silver nitrate are mixed.
Potassium iodide solution contains K⁺ and I⁻ ions, while silver nitrate solution contains Ag⁺ and NO₃⁻ ions.
KNO₃ is soluble in water, while AgI is insoluble.
Hence, AgI precipitate is formed. The net ionic equation is :
Ag⁺(aq) + I⁻(aq) → AgI(s)
