According to the following reaction, how many moles of carbon dioxide will be formed upon the complete reaction of 0.352 moles butane (C4H10) with excess oxygen gas?

2C₄H₁₀(g) + 13O₂(g) → 8CO₂(g) + 10H₂O(g)
Mole ratio C₄H₁₀ : CO₂ = 2 : 8 = 1 : 4

Number of moles of C₄H₁₀ reacted = 0.352 mol
Number of moles of CO₂ formed = (0.352 mol) × 4 = 1.41 mol (3 sig. fig.)
