Molar mass of CO = (12.01 + 16.00) g/mol = 28.01 g/mol
No. of moles of CO₂ reacted = (17 g) / (28.01 g/mol) = 0.607 g/mol

2CO + O₂ → 2CO₂
Mole ratio CO : CO₂ = 2 : 2 = 1 : 1
No. of moles of CO₂ formed = No. of moles of CO reacted = 0.607 g/mol

Molar mass of CO₂ = (12.01 + 16.00×2) g/mol = 44.01 g/mol
Mass of CO₂ formed = (44.01 g/mol) × (0.607 mol) = 26.7 g

...... The answer is: b. 26.7 g
