How do I get to know this girl?

There is this girl that went to my high school that just recently friended me on Facebook. I was in her geometry class senior year. I Never got to talk to her because we hung out with different people. I always thought she was very pretty. I really want to say hi to her on Facebook but I don't want to come off as creepy or anything. How do I go about doing that? I'm 24 and she's 21. We are both attending University of Louisville if that helps. She's a nurse studying to be a doctor and I'm studying to be a middle school teacher.

Or Start on her birthday .. Wish her on chat instead of Wall..Person generally replies and conversation starts easily. Person is also in good mood .. So you get a good start..

Luckily you got your work cut out as she is a friend on Facebook. Send her funny memes in a Facebook message, get her talking then ask her things
