I think you're seeing Mars. Earth and Mars are very close in their orbits at the moment.

"Most stars are white"

Not true. Stars range in colour from blue to deep red, even brown.

"but I seen one that was orange."

Most likely what you was not a star, but the planet Mars, which is currently one of the brightest objects in the sky, shining all night in the southeast, south, and southwest, as it moves across the sky.

"Just 1 thou is it dying?"

Dying stars don't turn orange: They flare up thousands of times brighter than they were before. But that hasn't happened for over 400 years.

Yep MARS

No, it is not dying because it probably is not star. Unless it's the Red star kind of near Mars, which is very bright and very orange right now. The star is Antares and it is a super redgiant star. Or the orange star could be Arcturus Which direction are you looking at approximately what time and approximately what is your location?

No, it's most likely Mars

Planet mars is now in opposition and will be visible whole night..It is very bright and reddish
OTher stars like Antares, Betelgeuse are also red color..

Stars that appear red, orange or yellow are said to be moving away from us

Stars come in many colors, but you are probably seeing Mars.

All stars look basically white, but as any designer or photographer will tell you there are shades of white. Some stars, like Antares, are pretty red. And recently I was looking the the sky and noticed Mars, which is much brighter and was in the same part of the sky as Antares last night and it too is pretty red looking. Or at least orange.

Well I'm obviously not an expert in astronomy, but with little knowledge of today being May, 30 it is said the planet Mars is somewhat visible today in the sky as appearing almost as a red star. so as others are saying this I assume it is indeed mars. http://earthsky.org/tonight/mars-comes-closest-to-earth
But I am up late being about 3:30 am (which kind of normal for me a lot lol 😁) currently so I can still see the night sky, which I've been peacefully (trying to be) star gazing too! (with some tunes) Though dealing with this partly cloudy sky. So enjoy the rest of this night and if you are asleep I wish you wondrous dreams and positive energies with big hugs! :)
