I've always worn goodwill things, And I went to a snobby rich kid school. I never got made fun of. Quite frank, I don't really think people at a normal school would care. But remember, there might be that one bit*h at your school! :D but it really doesn't matter AT ALL! If you're comfortable in those clothes, WEAR it! Goodwill is great! ;)
2016-05-31 11:26 pm
As far as I'm concerned Goodwill isn't a brand of clothing. Goodwill resells good used clothing for cheaper so its more affordable. So technically you will be wearing brand name clothing like everyone else, but you payed a fraction of the price. Also don't worry about what everyone else will think about you, if you are happy with clothing you wear that's all that matters! I don't know your home situation, but if clothes from Goodwill is all you can afford than no one has the right to judge you because no one knows you, to know the reason why you get your clothes from Goodwill. Also, I shop at Goodwill too, and you can find Hollister, American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch, even Calvin Klein there so it really doesn't matter. As long you're happy thats all that matters! Also I think it's rude and disgusting when people make fun of other people for what they wear and where they get their clothing. Sorry if my parents aren't lawyers and doctors and I can't afford everything that you have! This is also a source of bullying. Another thing if you are old enough try and get a job that way you can shop at the mall or anywhere else you want. And the people that make fun of you are immature a**holes!
2016-05-30 11:35 pm
Absolutely not. I use to wear clothes from Goodwill ALL the time when I was in high school, and people would ask me where I got my things all the time because they liked them. In my opinion, if you can put a cute outfit together that you got from Goodwill, you're the ultimate fashionista. Looking cute does NOT have to break the bank. Keep on doing you!
2016-05-29 9:54 pm
Who cares? I've found great stuff at Goodwill. If people ask, tell them. Almost everything I own is secondhand and I don't care. I used to Dumpster dive as well and found good things. (It's amazing what college kids will throw away. I even got free beer. It was cheap light stuff that I would never buy because I'm a beer snob, but it was still free beer.)

Also, you might change somebody's mind.

ETA: My eight-year-old daughter likes Goodwill. It's not about.the price as much as the hunt and the unique findings.
2016-06-01 4:31 am
ABSOLUTELY NOT! I pretty much only shop at goodwill because I'm a young woman in my 20's with limited amount of funds. I can tell you that I get compliments on all of my outfits. i have found everything from Michael Kors to Calvin Klein to Ralph Lauren at Goodwill. I just bought a cute forever 21 purse for $5 yesterday! You just have to have the patience to look through everything in the store and pick out what you like! Good luck and I hope this helps! HAPPY THRIFTING!! :)

A tiger does not lose sleep over the opinions of sheep.

Thrift shops and Goodwill have great items--some even new with tags still on. You do not have to tell or explain where your clothes come from. People who focus on "designer name" clothes, etc are insecure and petty. It is all about having self-confidence---it makes clothes from anywhere look good.
2016-05-30 7:58 pm
I've worn goodwill cloths to school before and I've been complimented on them. One time my teacher told me she like my shirt (which was a really cute green and gray tank top btw that sadly doesn't fit me anymore) and asked me where I got it. When I told her it was from goodwill she was surprised and was like "maybe I should stop by there, looks like they have some cute stuff".
On another note, who cares what everyone thinks. If they make fun of you just say jokes on them bc you got some really cute/nice looking clothes for probably have the price they paid for theirs.
2016-05-30 4:14 pm
First off, who cares where the clothes came from. As long as they are comfortable, are up to your school's dress and grooming standards and most of all that YOU LIKE THEM. Peer pressure is a nasty little thing, but ultimately you don't need any one else's approval to wear what you want to wear. You have the power, don't give it away!!
2016-05-30 9:30 am
Who cares you should wear whatever you feel comfortable in. And you should never let them get to you even if they start teasing you. If so you start teasing them. I am against bullying, and I am proud of it. Now you shall wear whatever you want if its clown shoes wear clown shoes if its goodwill clothes the wear goodwill clothes.

I doubt it. It's really nobody's business where you buy clothes from. I go to all kinds of thrift stores, and if you give yourself a little time to dig, many times you will find items still with the tags on. And items that really look brand new. Thrift stores are beginning to lose the stigma of a place only for poor people to shop. If you are the crafty type, you can get items that can be tailored and customized in so many ways, check out YouTube, there are an incredible number of tutorials, I learned how to make a really cute swimsuit coverup dress out of an XXL tshirt, and no one ever could guess what it was originally, I get compliments on it all the time. And I see folks of all ages and types at the thrift store, it's just being smart with your money.
2016-05-31 12:36 am
I doubt they could even tell it's from goodwill. At this point in your life it's good to save money! I'm finally done with college and have a good job.... I prefer to buy used clothes off eBay (i don't like to physically go to a store and look for my size) you can tell some of the sellers are quite rich and just try to get rid of clothes for pennies just to get rid of them. Half of them are name brand and worn once. Be smart with your money. fashion comes and goes.
2016-05-30 3:12 am
They can't tell if you find clothes from Goodwill or not unless you tell them. Normally you can find some brand-name items there!
2016-05-29 9:04 pm
No 1 will know
2016-05-29 8:54 pm
just don't tell them where you bought it and nothing will happen. oh and long as it looks decent with no holes and tears you should be ok.
2016-05-30 12:28 am
No one has to know you got it from goodwill. I found really nice items at goodwill however I don't go braodcasting it. If someone ask where you got it, say your aunt from.....gave it to you. Or some white lie
2016-06-01 4:10 am
The thing is: no one will even know. Goodwill's clothes are always in nice condition and they sell brand names at a great price. No need to be ashamed of where you get your clothes either. I remember being a teenager and being embarrassed about going to school in my neighbor's hand-me-downs that her daughter no longer fit. People complimented me. And in the end, no one cares. It's an internalized fear (it's all in your head).
2016-05-31 9:47 pm
Nah, people judge peoples clothes no matter where its from, goodwill clothes are cheaper and and cute, dont worry about peoples thoughts, its just clothes, who cares about the brand? XD
2016-05-31 5:00 pm
No, I wear clothes from Goodwill and I get complimented on my clothing all the time. They won't even know it's from Goodwill.
2016-05-29 11:04 pm
You can find steals in goodwill! Just don't tell them, plus vintage clothing (70s inspired etc) is in now anyway.
2016-05-29 10:39 pm
It's not like they'll know it's from goodwill unless you tell them.
2016-06-02 2:10 am
I don't think so - Goodwill has clothing donated by people, which means that its name brand items. So thats why I dont think you'll get made fun of. Unless you get that one snob who thinks the shirt is 2-3 years old and will make fun of you because its not 1-2 years old at max.

Plus you're buying the same (or similar) clothes for way less when you buy at thrift stores like Goodwill.
2016-06-01 6:04 am
At least where I'm from, thrift shopping is a thing right now in high school. You can find the cutest vintage or worn things. If you're worried about it then don't say your clothes are from goodwill, no one will be able to tell
2016-06-01 4:09 am
Not if you don't tell anyone the clothing came from Goodwill. Lie. I wear clothing all the time that I bought at Goodwill.
2016-06-01 2:32 am
Nope. My best friend wore used clothing. I had no idea and neither did anyone else.
2016-06-01 1:28 am
are you going to tell them you bought them from Goodwill?
2016-05-31 8:37 pm
no, nobody will know, I do all of the time
2016-05-31 1:32 pm
I LOVE Goodwill clothing! People ask me all the time where I got this or that. Heck, you can even get accessories there! Go for it! Walk tall and be proud of your of your new 'green' affordable wardrobe!Thrift stores are the ultimate way of keeping great stuff out of the landfill!
2016-05-31 8:58 am
Only a nut that shops there themself and would love to take the heat off of themselves. Most Amerians shop and wear Goodwill.
2016-05-31 6:58 am
yes you can find a lot of good clothing at goodwill any where from cheap generic to $100+ name brands. just wash or clean the clothing be for using them for all they do is spray a stilizer on them they don't wash the clothing
參考: My own knowledge
2016-05-31 12:24 am
How will anyone know where they came from? Goodwill doesn't put "Goodwill" labels in them.
2016-05-30 10:09 pm
Unless you go around shouting "goodwill here" "goodwill here: how the hell will anyone know where it came from?
2016-05-30 8:22 pm
I doubt it, I've never been to a goodwill store or have worn any of the clothing there but I'm going to assume the workers don't accept clothing that's worn or has too many stains so your clothing there may look good as new!
2016-05-30 1:44 pm
They can't tell if you find clothes from Goodwill or not unless you tell them. Normally you can find some brand-name items there!
2016-05-30 7:12 am
Don't let that **** get to you once you graduate no one cares about that stuff. If they do...they will find the value of goodwill if they go to college.
2016-05-30 5:08 am
How would anyone know? I shop at goodwill, and I find tons of popular brands there!
2016-05-30 12:52 am
in my opinion you shouldn't even care what people would do.. so what there from Goodwill? who cares
2016-05-29 9:11 pm
unless you tell them where you buy them from how are they gonna know where they come from
2016-05-29 8:57 pm
Depends on the clothes. Anything branded (e.g. Superdry) would be OK, and most plaid shirts or knitted sweaters can be passed off as vintage
2016-05-29 8:53 pm
no, there's cute clothes in goodwill sometimes, i've never found any but my friend has
2016-05-31 5:01 am
Maybe. I never had to get my clothes at Goodwill - I always had nice clothes. But I had braces and kids made fun of me sometimes. So basically people will pick on you no matter what.

Sidebar:
One person who used to crack jokes about my braces has teeth so jacked up, they NEVER smile for photos from what I see on Facebook. And this is 25 years later. I guess they were jealous. I used to hate them but now I feel sorry for them.
2017-01-02 3:09 am
the thing is: no one shall even know... goodshall's clothes are always in nice condition and they sell brand names at a awesome price... no need to be ashamed of where you get your clothes either... i remember being a teenager and being embarrassed about going to school in my neighbor's hand-me-downs that her daughter no longer fit... people complimented me... and in the end, no one cares... it's an internalized fear (it's all in your head)...
2016-10-29 12:23 am
there's no label on clothes from goodshall... be thankful you have something to wear... no one should make fun of you... wear with pride...
2016-06-07 1:52 pm
No.
2016-06-06 1:25 am
Of course not, I doubt anyone is even gonna be able to tell the clothes are from Goodwill.
2016-06-05 4:56 am
No, I wear clothes from Goodwill and no one can even tell. I have even bought cute shoes that I have gotten complimets on. Usually you do have to do a bit of searching to get to the name brands, but for the price, it's worth it (:
2016-06-04 10:14 pm
good clothes come from there
2016-06-03 5:11 pm
I donate my clothes to goodwill they are new sometimes with tags they are name brands further more you do not need to say where you got them as long as they are clean without holes ,you can just say you bought them at the store.I wear hand me downs they are name brand hollister Calvin Abercrombie hillier and more no one questions
2016-06-03 4:40 pm
Possibly but
2016-06-03 9:23 am
Nah bro actually I shopped at a goodwill store before and i found some original polo ralph laurn shirt you can find heat at thrifts 🔥🔥
2016-06-03 8:27 am
Maybe but noone could tell where it's from so if you don't tell them then they won't know if your really worried about what people think of you then just say you forgot where you bought it from when they ask but if you don't really care then own it and tell them proudly personally I was like that too. (Really self conscious)
2016-06-03 4:39 am
HECK NO! People at my school do this at my school all the time and call it "thirfting", even the people who are considered "popular"
2016-06-03 3:37 am
No
2016-06-03 3:15 am
no way
2016-06-03 1:23 am
There is no label on clothes from Goodwill. Be thankful you have something to wear. No one should make fun of you. Wear with pride.
2016-06-03 12:21 am
Not unless your clothes say they are from Goodwill or if you start telling people that they are from Goodwill.
2016-06-02 11:35 pm
Nobody should care. If they say anything rude about you're clothes then they're being ridiculous. You can find really cute clothes at goodwill and its and excellent store to shop at :)
Good luck!
2016-06-02 9:36 pm
Nope.. Nobody will know or care
2016-06-02 9:16 pm
.
2016-06-02 9:12 pm
they will never know unless you tell them.
2016-06-02 8:17 pm
NO. No one is going to know it's from goodwill because people donate many different brands. Also, people are actually buying things from goodwill/thrift stores and sharing their outfits, so it's actually a thing right now :)
2016-06-02 8:00 pm
It's really no body's business where you buy your clothing. Just accessorize really well and no one will know.
2016-06-02 7:24 pm
Who's going to know unless you tell them?
2016-06-02 6:29 pm
How will they know it's from Goodwill unless you tell them? I think as you get older you won't even care. Like I tell my friends I got whatever from Goodwill all the time lol.
2016-06-02 4:49 pm
Nobody will know. I wear their clothes alo the time ive got gap, Jessica Simpson etc there. Ppl always think I shop at macys. Just inspect the clothes good
2016-06-02 4:59 am
clothes don't make the person. the person make the clothes ,plus this is 2016 thrifty is in style cause 905 of people are dressing the hippy ,gypsy, homie era anyway which its nothing wrong with at all. if you like flaunt it or flex it.
2016-06-02 4:41 am
Tell them a portion of your clothes cost is given to charity.
2016-06-02 4:23 am
Don't tell the other kids you got it from Goodwill unless you don't care what anyone says. Kids can be mean. I got made fun of for shopping at Goodwill when i was a kid... But it was by another poor kid. I asked him, "how did you see me there unless you were there too?"
2016-06-02 3:47 am
No, I wear clothing from Value Village and no one notices. People don't really pay attention to brand names anymore. A lot of people are actually starting to shop at lower class stores such as Value Village and Walmart. As long as the clothes fit you and look nice it shouldn't matter.
2016-06-02 2:45 am
not relly
2016-06-02 2:00 am
Find it in your heart to stuff a swan's anus with dried bread.
2016-06-01 11:39 pm
Goodwill sells all types of brands of clothes. How are they gonna know where you bought them?
2016-06-01 10:39 pm
Go to thrift stores and buy awesome outfits and wear them proud! It's pretty rad to do that from where I'm from. I mean where else could you find a dope military style jacket? (:
2016-06-01 10:22 pm
No goodwill has nice stuf
2016-06-01 10:06 pm
If they don't know it's from goodwill then they can't make fun of you for it. But if you told people, im going to be honest you may get teased.
2016-06-01 6:13 pm
Yes.

But, ignore them. Just be glad that you have clothes.
2016-06-01 5:54 pm
Just don't tell the people where you got it
2016-06-01 4:04 pm
No
2016-06-01 10:22 am
You really shouldn't let it bother you even if who ever makes fun of you kill your enemies with kindness and compassion and always be proud of who you are.
2016-06-01 8:03 am
no u wont
2016-06-01 3:42 am
I don't think they would be able to tell unless you tell them.
2016-06-01 3:17 am
I buy most of my clothes at thrift stores!
2016-06-01 12:37 am
I go thrift shopping all the time now. I haven't realized how cheap it is to find good brands, even if they are used or not. People will not be able to tell. I think its great, as long as you like it and your comfortable than who cares!
2016-06-01 12:32 am
oo
2016-05-31 11:34 pm
Probably not. You can't really tell what clothes is from Goodwill because it's not a brand of clothing. Plus, even if they did, who cares? You'll slay Goodwill clothes.
2016-05-31 9:48 pm
i used to get made fun of... but i just started to say that i got them from some sotre at the mall cheap.. but i would wear them because some goodwills have cute stuff!
2016-05-31 8:58 pm
you can do it easily
2016-05-31 8:41 pm
You absolutely should not be! I have TONS of clothes from thrift-stores such as Goodwill. You should also consider the fact that Goodwill is not a brand. Goodwill is a store where you can buy secondhand items. Goodwill has tons of brands, so you should not find or worry about wearing a t-shirt with the words "Goodwill" typed across your shirt.
2016-05-31 7:38 pm
Who would know, unless you tell them? So, don't tell them.
2016-05-31 4:27 pm
No, because how will they know? As long as its clean and look good no you won't.
2016-05-31 3:19 pm
No, just try to get clothes that are in good shape .
2016-05-31 2:15 pm
Why would anyone notice?
2016-05-31 12:42 pm
Why the hell does it matter?
It's just clothes.
2016-05-31 10:37 am
Nobody will know dude, and if someone does and judges you on that, they don't have the values of the kind of person you should care who thinks. Worry about yourself and what you think. :)
2016-05-31 7:02 am
noone would know at all, how would they know? i love thrifting. people who wear cool one of a kind thrift store clothes are cool
2016-05-31 4:48 am
You probably won't have a problem if you take the price tags off the clothes before you arrive at school.
2016-05-31 4:01 am
No girl we're too old for that.. If ur in high school. Middle schools a bit rough but I'm sure no one minds
2016-05-31 2:14 am
Hell no! Goodwill actually may have really good things, and even if someone said something ***** them! They are fake and don't know what's good! You be you sweetheart
2016-05-31 1:33 am
No goodwill has good clothes.
2016-05-31 12:36 am
Don't tell them they are from Goodwill.
2016-05-30 11:46 pm
No one will know unless u tell them and when people ask you where did u get your clothes from that usually means they like it and want to buy it too so if you tell them then they shouldn't be mean about it
2016-05-30 11:31 pm
there isnt a good will brand so no one would know just by looking at you. I would not be ashamed of spending less money on clothes.
2016-05-30 10:35 pm
You might.. but don't let other people affect what you want to wear! It's your life, Don't worry life's too short !
2016-05-30 10:13 pm
I doubt it because they have some really nice stuff and also no one will be able to tell they're from goodwill.
2016-05-30 10:13 pm
Just don't tell them.
2016-05-30 7:48 pm
At good will I've found loft and talbots and Ann Taylor and American eagle and pretty much any name brand you can think of, nothing wrong with shopping there, plus no one will notice.
2016-05-30 7:28 pm
Not sure
2016-05-30 4:28 pm
how will the people atschool know you bought the items at Goodwill? unless you tell them they'll never know! I><I
2016-05-30 4:04 pm
No.
2016-05-30 12:58 pm
If you blab about it, yes you will. No one has to know where your clothing was purchased. It could have easily come from a pricey dept store. Fabric is fabric. Kids attach way too much snob appeal to it.
2016-05-30 12:01 pm
They literally have no possible way of knowing.
2016-05-30 10:55 am
idk
2016-05-30 9:56 am
heck no. its amazing what people will drop there, and depending on where your store is located its considered a gold mine since you might find some really neat stuff in there that otherwise you wouldn't find in other stores.
2016-05-30 8:51 am
I don't know
2016-05-30 7:57 am
where you get your clothes from doesnt matter. :)
2016-05-30 7:48 am
who cares? as long as you like it then why not wear it. no one would probably notice that it's from goodwill anyways :)
2016-05-30 7:26 am
Doesn't matter yo
2016-05-30 4:59 am
not likely! -- just be yourself, you are okay, as you are! more than okay, actually!
2016-05-30 4:28 am
Dude my brothers shirt got passed down from me to my friend to my friends brother to a child of my moms friends and then my brother. Dude nobody will notice and or care. Sorry I'm really tired using dude twice in two sentences is a good indicator.
2016-05-30 3:03 am
Chances are, nobody will know! So you'll be fine :) Besides, I'm sure you can find plenty of cute clothes there, too.
2016-05-30 1:49 am
Good will is good...
2016-05-30 1:28 am
Don't tell them.
