7 months pregnant and I've already gained 40lbs!?

Very upset and uncomfortable- my thighs haven't touched in years, and my butt never touched the back of my legs it was always "up" I cannot even look at myself in the mirror right now! I haven't been eating anymore than usual- so I figure it must be b/c i'm a lot more sedentary right now? I've gained 40 lbs and I'm barely coming up on the 7th month. I just can't stop gaining! I realize *SOME* of this is the baby/fluid, but it can't be anymore than 10lbs of it? 30lbs is all me....I feel so fat and uncomfortable and am getting back fat too!! I have a high risk pregnancy and I'm essentially on bed rest- so I won't be able to really exercise, but looking/feeling like this cannot be healthy- and If I continue to gain at this rate- I could easily have gained 60-70 lbs and I DO NOT want to get to that point! How can I prevent myself from gaining more without starving the baby of nutrients and with extremely limited physical activity allowed?? :/ even my face feels fat!

Cut out all sugar- it is in a lot of food!
As long as you just eat healthy food like veggies, eggs, meat, full-fat dairy, and nuts, you will get all the nutrients you and your baby need. It's better to gain a little more weight but be healthy than try to diet or go hungry and risk you and your baby's health. The weight will come off after you give birth! It is also perfectly normal to gain 40+ pounds in your pregnancy- my sister (who was very skinny before) gained 45lb and was high-risk, but it is coming off now and she and her baby are healthy.

10-15 lbs is the normal, healthy weight gain, but you have a high risk pregnancy - your circumstances are different than the usual pregnant woman.

I sure hope you are taking vitamins and minerals.....if you are open to it, you may want to do a search in your zipcode for a naturopathic physician, he should be able to address all of your concerns and also agree to take vitamins and minerals cuz you are eating for two....it's super important....best wishes
