Cut out all sugar- it is in a lot of food!
As long as you just eat healthy food like veggies, eggs, meat, full-fat dairy, and nuts, you will get all the nutrients you and your baby need. It's better to gain a little more weight but be healthy than try to diet or go hungry and risk you and your baby's health. The weight will come off after you give birth! It is also perfectly normal to gain 40+ pounds in your pregnancy- my sister (who was very skinny before) gained 45lb and was high-risk, but it is coming off now and she and her baby are healthy.
