I have a job working with International exchange students that I substitute for the host mom when she's on vacation.. I get paid $50 a day. Recently she has gotten too big Labrador dogs that I also take care of.. I'm wondering how much extra I should charge? Here is a list of my responsibilities...

One I let them out of their crates to go pee.. I feed them and go pick up their poop in the backyard. I then take one dog for a 30 min walk and then the other I walk to the park for 20 min of ball toss. At night I feed, pick up poop again and take them out to pee. Then I put them in their crates for the night.

How much would you charge extra for that

Nothing, if the following isn't in place first; http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e224/GLLNTKNIGHT/sitter_zps0399ca83.jpg

You're overly generous with your time and effort. What you charge depends in part on what the market will bear. If you live in a high cost area, you can charge more than when in a low cost area.

My long time dog walker/boarder charges $75 per day for boarding. That's just for dogs. For looking after people, the students, compare what efforts you are putting forth for each one and charge accordingly. I would think $50 per day per student would be more in line with the work you're doing.

I am also concerned about liability. Do you have liability insurance to cover any misfortune that any one or more of the students might come up with...broken arm, food poisoning, etc. You are responsible and thus vulnerable to legal action by those students or their parents should something happen to them.
