Why doesnt my son look at me while breastfeeding?

He's about to be 7 months and WILL NOT look at me while he's eating :( I want that bond so badly, I always look down at him.. he kneeds on my arm, chest.. pulls hair.. but won't look at me. I always look forward to feeding him.. what am I doing wrong?

A lot of babies won't look at you while they feed. He is touching you, and that is connection enough got him. He doesn't need to stare lovingly into your eyes, and it is more interesting for him to look elsewhere. Doesn't mean he doesn't bond with you, and it doesn't mean you are doing anything wrong. He is just a baby.

He's eating. Babies don't look at you, think of the strain on eyes to look up at you. When he is done eating then talk to him and look at him while you cuddle.

Nothing? Hes busy eating. Why does he have to look at you when hes nursing to bond with you? Do you not spend time with him doing other things?

Babies get distracted while nursing. That's just what they do.

You aren't doing anything wrong. To him, there's no particular reason why he would need to look at your face. Don't let it ruin breastfeeding for you.

He might be autistic my son is n he wouldnt even breast feed at all
