In high school, would you rather have a few good friends, or a whole group of acquaintances? Why?

In hindsight, a few actual real good friends will be around for life, know you and all your secrets, and can really help when you need one to lean on. A few good friends have a much higher upside then having lots of acquaintances. Especially now that much of our social lives have become on line. Nothing can replace that one on one personal, good friend feeling.
