1.
y = 2x² - 4x + 3
y = (2x² - 4x) + 3
y = 2(x² - 2x) + 3
y = 2(x² - 2x + 1) - 2*1 + 3
y = 2(x - 1) + 1

Vertex = (1, 1)

2.
Is the equation y = 2x² - 4x + 3 ?

When x = 0 :
y = 2(0)² - 4(0) + 3
y = 3

The y-intercept = (0, 3)

[If the equation is really y = 2x² - 4 + 3, i.e.]
[y = 2x² - 1]
[Then, similarly, the y-intercept = (0,1)]

3.
f(x) = x² + 5x - 8
g(x) = -2x + 3

(f + g)(x) = f(x) + g(x)
(f + g)(x) = (x² + 5x - 8) + (-2x + 3)
(f + g)(x) = x² + 5x - 8 - 2x + 3
(f + g)(x) = x² + 3x - 5

Thank you so very much!
