How do I figure out my career?

My mom says she's gonna disown me and take all my stuff away if I choose not to go to college. I only have like two years to figure out a course where I'm not suffering for four years. How the hell do I do this?!

Ask your advising office, or the advising office of your community college, to set you up with two tests: an "aptitude test" and an "interest inventory". The first will suggest careers based on your strongest natural skills and abilities. The second will suggest careers based on your interests.
What you are looking for are careers that appear on BOTH lists. Look at those careers, and research which require 2-year degrees, 4-year degrees and so forth. Next, for the careers you are considering, research the employment outlook and the prospective salaries for those careers.
With the results of these tests and this research, you should be able to choose a career path you can complete at your community college, be good at, be interested in, and make decent money.
