Why did Jesus change God's rules?

God used to say, if you sin, you go to hell and if you're gay, you get decapitated. We get that he sent his son down to set an influence and way of life but if God wanted it changed, then why didn't he make it like he wanted in the first place? Why did he wait to send his son down? It's not like Jesus disagreed with God as they're very similar (almost the same) so they had their agreements but why did God not make his rules how he wanted them to be in the first place?

Jesus wanted to give his mother the best eternal existence he could with the least degree of any negative feelings . So He did what he did in his 3 1/2 year ministry and his subsequent crucifixion so he could be given power to do what ever he wants if he made the required covenant with his Father that he would always obey all of the sayings God gave him to be written in the 4 gospels . And he will help others out as he is helping his mother if they YEILD to his WILL ( although , as his mother are still not fully repentant as God requires ) . But Jesus still doesn't understand that God is only here in His own imagined "Growing-up Place" so He could learn to love all of His fellow bored cherubs unconditionally , regardless if any of them ever escape their deserved hell for not achieving perfection . And when God , who is that Servant of Is. 52 & III Nephi , is finally marred more than even Jesus was no one who is not fully obeying all of Jesus' sayings THEN they shall either self spontaneously human combust or luckily be able to flee His fiery presence fast enough to escape that area that is sufficiently large enough for Himself and any persons who have finally made the covenant to obey all of Jesus' sayings and are pretty much finished growing . Which place I received a dream about in 1976 or so where I floated up into the sky over all of the 48 states of the USA , and I noticed an angel kind of standing off to the side and in in back of me . And I asked the angel how big Zion will be . And he told me that it would reach from Independence , Mo. up to a quarter distance to the mountains . So when I woke up in the morning I got out a USA map and saw that both the Appalacean (sp?) and Rocky mountains were each 600 miles away . So I figured that the radius of Zion would be 150 miles .

Nowhere in the entire Bible does God say that if you are gay you should be decapitated. He made commandments for us to follow because he gave us free will . Behavior has consequences. The result of living a sinful life is eternal death. The commandments were intended to show humanity that they needed a savior. They are actually quite simple( the commandments) and yet what person can actually claim they have never broken one of them! God sent His Son Jesus to pay the price that would have to be paid by each one of us for breaking the commandments, so that we wouldn't have to.

Being a Most Holy God. He cannot look upon our Sins. In order to be with Him in Heaven, God himself came to Earth to Die for our Sins.. Whomever believes and receives shall be with Him in Heaven..

You don't go to hell for sinning or being gay. You go to hell for refusing the payment for sins that Jesus made with His death on the cross.

Jesus loves you! The truth is that believing in Jesus to take you to heaven, is the only way to heaven. Jesus paid it all, so believe in Jesus, and you're saved. There is no chance to be saved after death. Jesus Christ is God, Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins, all sins past and future, all sins of all kinds, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works or deeds or religions or anything. So to be in heaven and not in eternal torment in the lake of fire, believe in Jesus Christ to take you to heaven. That easy! Tell Jesus right now that you believe in Jesus for eternal life, and you will be in heaven! Jesus loves you and wants to bless you now and throughout your life and forever!..

Good grief. Have a bible study with Jehovah's witnesses. You may have time to catch up before Armageddon but it will be close.

Before God gave the law He was dealing with people by Grace and Mercy. People took that as a sign that God was pleased with that behavior and went hogwild. Then God gave the law which drew a picture of how God really felt about certain sins. God judged us all of being totally incapable of keeping His law and was tired of the stench of all the sacrifices rising up to the Heavens and decided to have One sacrifice to cover all sacrifices (Jesus). It was God changing the way we could be right with Him, the Old Testament serves as indepth knowledge for us.
