Should I paint a goldfish pond?
My mom wants to paint my goldfish pond on the inside and "let the fumes disappear" and she says "it will be fine". Is this advisable to make a pond prettier?

Noooo, paint contains so many un-natural toxins which will immediately kill fish. Even if it is 'pet safe' paint it will break down over time and pollute the water causing your fish to die
Most paints are not considered fish safe and slowly leach toxins into the water.
Besides, most paints also won't sick to a pond and will just flake off anyway, making it look worse.
And, emptying the pond will destroy it's biology, leaving you with dying fish and a tacky painted pond
Do not paint the pond for a couple of reasons: There are few paints that are 'fish safe'. Those that are, are very expensive. You need to empty the pond, thus destroying its biology, so it would need to 'cycle' once again. Finally, the paint job will be covered up eventually by fish waste and could look ever murkier eventually.
No. Most paints would be toxic to fish. If you just want a pretty pond and put rocks and plants in it - paint it. But do NOT put fish in there.
