What kind of guys are more attractive to most women nowadays?

It actually depends on their type. Some girls love the stereotypical "alpha male" guy, while others like the nice/shy guy. Honestly, I can't give you a black and white answer for this one; it honestly just depends on that one girl's particular traits that she likes.

Here are some good examples:
-My friend-let's call her Jamie- prefers guys that are more assertive, have an idea of where their life is going, and are stronger than others
- My other friend-we'll call Pat- seems to like guys that are more of a punk-ish type, or rebellious. They like the bad boy basically
- Another friend we'll call Ginger adores guys that are polite, artistic, and very respectful.
- Finally, I love guys that understand my boundaries, have a great sense of humor, take care of themselves physically, are artistic/musical, and aren't too clingy.

That's just their types' personalities, we're not even considering their physical appearances in these examples.

Bottom Line: every girl has a different type they like. The ones you see more often might not be the majority of girls; they could just be more extroverted and social, which is why you see them everywhere and assume they are the majority. So, the best thing I can say is to simply be yourself and you'll find someone that likes those traits in you.

Confidence, proper use of their native language (can spell, good grammar, good diction), masculine, assertive (but not a jerk who bullies), tall height (not always applicable), has a job (doesn't have to make a lot of money), has car/truck, has their own place, has a descent education (depends on the type of woman really), has a sense of humor, and loves dogs/cats (most females prefer dogs though). The most important is confidence. Confidence in a man shows the women that he can be successful in his life, live an exciting life, and go after what he wants/needs. I think it really shouldn t be so much about the physique. That should be secondary in my opinion. I have seen relationships crumble because it is based on what either party can see physically.
