Best time to buy fresh donuts at the grocery store??!?

Hello Emily! It will depend on the place that you are getting them from! Some shops make them early in the morning and that’s obviously when they are really nice and fresh. At 2 p.m. you might find some, if the place was not too busy. Otherwise, you can always visit a specialised shop for a wider choice. Good luck!

Unless you eat them IMMEDIATELY, what time of day you buy them is unimportant because most of them will be day-olds (or older) by the time you eat them.

No grocery store donuts! Get to a Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme!! If you like regular glazed donuts and don't mind waiting, Krispy Kreme's staff will be more than happy to make you a whole box of freshly made donuts. They are very good. I could eat 3 of those donuts before slowing down. If you happen to find yourself at Dunkin Donuts, try a chocolate glazed donut. Those are personally my favorite. Or if you want to have some variety you could get a mixed box of munchkins. They have white powdered, cinnamon powdered, sugar dusted, jelly filled and chocolate glazed. They're very good as well. Goodness now I want some donuts! I hope your craving for donuts is satisfied soon!

Most places make their donuts early in the morning - stop by and buy some on the way to work.

For best results, go to a locally owned donut shop, not a chain like Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kreme, or even a grocery store (which just buys its donuts that were made the day before at some local industrial bakery.)

If you have a Krispy Kreme by you, they have a neon light that lights up in the window when there is a fresh batch out. I forget what it says..something like "hot". And they have a drive-through window too!

Depends on your grocery store. Some stores only make them early in the morning. Some stores still have a decent selection by dinner time that aren't stale (I only know of one grocery store where I live that has donuts that don't go stale right away).

Go to dunkin donuts. The grocery store does not do these things well.

You have to get there really early. People buy them up on their way to work.

you are hilarious. do you live near a Krispie Kreme?? that's a southern thing and they make 'em ALL DAY LONG...... eat em up! but then go for a brisk walk because losing the baby-weight is a *****.
