I suggest you do your homework yourself. My knowledge will not benefit you in the future.
Light is required during the growth of plants.
Yeah, they need light to grow.
They do not need light to germinate, however, after the seed sprouts, the plant needs light to produce food for itself. The sprout will bend toward any light, no matter how faint, to get to it. When I w as a kid, I did an experiment for the school science fair that involved sprouting potatoes in a sealed shoebox( except for a small hole cut in one side). I had constructed a "maze" inside the box of cardboard scraps, and sure enough, the potato sprouts wound their way through the maze to the opening at the other end, to get to the light. I did it with potatoes and onions, to compare which grew faster. I'm not going to tell you which root vegetable was the winner, maybe you find that out for yourself!????
Yes of course. The plant needs sunlight and carbon dioxide together with its chlorophyll and water through the process of photosynthesis to be made into carbohydrates in turn which will be made into glucose for usage.
Yip
Very few things grow without light.
Yes. What makes plants important to humans is their photosynthesis. Copy down that word and memorize it. Photosynthesis means plants can turn sunlight into plant tissue, tissue that then becomes food for animals. Animals cannot do this for themselves. Without pants and their ability to photosynthesize we would all die.
Light is required for food production by photosynthesis, which is essential for growth. However, during germination, light is not required as the food stores in the cotyledons are used for growth. Generally speaking, light is essential after the cotyledons have fallen off.

Yeah, plants need light to grow well.
They need light to grow well. Without light, plants tend to grow weak and leggy and turn pale. They tend to grow tall in search of light and sun. For a few days they can be kept for decorative purposes inside, but for healthy plants, a few hours of light natural or otherwise is required. There are some exceptions which can survive for long in diffused light. Nalini
If it's for a science project, design an experiment to find this out for yourself.
do animals need to eat food to live?
plants get food from light so yes they need light
Why dont you do an experiment to find out? That could be your science fair project (note spelling). Grow one batch of plants in full sunlight, one batch (of the same kind of plant) in dim light, and another in darkness,, and see what results you get.
Yes they do. It's called photosynthesis.
