I will be picking up a puppy that is like 4 hours away any tips on how to travel taking a new puppy home?

Put the puppy in a crate, that's what I did with mine, she was fine, but make sure to have the window open a tiny bit, just for fresh air if it's hot.

Put the puppy in a crate for the ride home in the car - MANY get sick the first time in a car, and they also may have to urinate. If the puppy is riding on someone's lap - they might get a not so pleasant surprise!

put it in a crate or kennel dont just let it wander the car. bring treats and water and make frequent stops for potty/water/and treat breaks. bring a leash so you can safelu get puppy out of the car on your stops

The same way as with any other dog. Feed two hours before trip and not again until you arrive at home.

Be very sure the pet carrier does not have a crack in the corner. It might be difficult to see. A crack allows pss to soak your seat and the seat might be difficult to remove for cleaning.

Just a small tip, If it's a hot sunny day i suggest that you place the pup in the shotgun where you can see him/her. Make sure he/she does not get exposed to the sun.
