How to get day old nail polish stain off of a shirt?

It is dried on, it is now a part of the shirt. You may be able to take a sharp blade and get the excess off by scraping it, but the color will remain. Get some fabric paint and paint over it if you want to.

no way. nail polish on fabric will not come off without damage to the fabric.
