Molality = (No. of moles of solute) / (Mass of solvent in kg)

Part A
Molar mass of C₆H₆ = (12.01×6 + 1.01×6) g/mol = 78.12 g/mol
Molality = (8.62/78.12 mol) / (23.8/1000 kg) = 4.64 m

Part B
Molar mass of NaCl = (22.99 + 35.45) g/mol = 58.44 g/mol
Density of water = 1 kg/L
Mass of water = (0.350 L) × (1 kg/L) = 0.350 kg
Molality = (4.70/58.44 mol) / (0.350 kg) = 0.230 m
